Innovations in Anti-Aging Skin Care
![]() |
Anti-aging skin care is a fast developing field. Skin care companies research and develop to meet the demands of a society which is obssessed with youth and beauty. There are many kinds of treatments which promise to keep you looking young and beautiful. There are many choices and options available, they range from products you can use at home to those which are expertly administered by a dermatologist.
One popular type of treatment is botox. Botox must be administered by a trained and qualified medical professional, for instance a dermatologist. Botox is an injection that freezes facial muscles so that your wrinkles dissaspear. A course of botox treatment should last up to six month. After six months you will need another course to maintain the results. An injection of botox is expensive, it can cost up to $500 per treatment. Some women love the results, but others are not keen on the facial paralysis and the loss of expression.
Another type of treatment that is administered by dermatologists is Restylane. Restylane is a gel that is injected into wrinkles to plump up the area. It is also used in lips to give fuller lips. As with botox, Restylane injections last up to six months. A treatment course can cost up to $500. Some women prefer Restylane to botox as it has fewer side effects.
For those who are looking at home treatments, there are a few choices available. Microdermasion is a popular method of looking younger. There are many home kits available now, from well known names like L'Oreal and Neutrogena. Microdermasion works by sloughing off dead skin cells and letting fresh new skin become visible. Weekly microdermasion alongside a good skin care routine can bring up excellent effects in younger longer skin.
There are also anti-aging products which are for oral administration. For instance vitamins and supplements abound which claim to have anti-aging effects and encourage younger skin. The Borba company markets water and gummy bears which they claim will improve the beauty of the skin. Borba products are available from the beauty store Sephora. Another product which is popular is Creme de la Mer, This is an anti-wrinkle cream which is often used by the rich and famous. It is very expensive, coming in at over $100 for a small jar. It is a top seller though as some women swear by it. Many women are willing to suffer pain and spend lots of money to look young. Looking better often leads to feeling better, so it becomes all worthwhile!
