What You Should Know about Choosing the Best Anti-Aging Makeup

The cosmetics industry is at the cutting edge of anti-aging research and development. Makeup is much more than a bit of color. Makeup this days can improve your look and rejunevate your skin. The good thing about normal skin is that it's not prone to breakouts or dry patches therefore does not need as much coverage. Dry skin, on the other hand, requires a rich, creamy foundation with moisturizing properties.

Oily skin needs a product that is lightweight and won't clog pores. Powder foundations are great for women with oily skin because the powder helps absorb excess oil. Combination skin may need two different foundations, to address the dry and oily areas of the face. Sensitive skin often does well with all-natural mineral makeup which is designed to not only be nourishing but gentle as well.

After analysing your skin type, take a look at your skin tone. Everyone falls into one of two categories -- warm or cool. Warm skin tones are those with a golden or yellow undertone, while cool skin tones often have ruddy or pink undertones. Even if you choose a foundation to match your skin tone, you might require a color correcting powder to make your skin look even better. If you find your skin is too sallow, try a sheer pink toned powder. If your skin is too pink, try a sheer yellow toned powder.

Choosing the best anti-aging makeup is easy once you know your skin type and tone. You'll find anti-aging foundations, powders, eyeshadows, blushes and lip products lining the shelves of drugstores and department stores. If you're unsure about your purchase, shop somewhere that offers a return policy for opened cosmetics. Rite Aid and CVS both allow opened cosmetics to be returned as long as you show your receipt.
