The common skin types are normal, dry, oily, combination and sensitive. Sometimes, the sensitive skin type can come along with dry or oily skin. Once you know your skin type, you can start shopping around. For example, dry skin may require a thick, rich cream while oily skin will need a gel based product. Normal skin is often fine with a light lotion. In addition to a day lotion, gel or cream, you may want a night product as well. Night products are often thicker than their daytime counterparts. An eye cream is crucial for the skin around the eyes and should be gently patted on with the ring finger. There are various eye creams designed for wrinkles, puffy eyes and dark circles.

One of the best anti-aging products for people of all skin types and ages is sunscreen. Sure, we all look good with a sun-kissed glow. However, tanning under the sun or a sun lamp is dangerous because it can lead to skin cancer and at the very least causes premature aging of the skin. So your best bet is to apply sunscreen every single day, even if the weather is overcast. You can find sunscreen in lotion, oil, gel and spray form for every skin type. To achieve a beautiful bronze look, try self tanning products and bronzing lotions and powders.
